A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as intermediary between geological exploration companies and landowners. Usually, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and enter into contracts with landowners who have mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. In essence, they manage the land and secure the lease so they can drill for oil and gas. As a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, living quarters for workers (a camp for people), supervise the assembly of earthmoving equipment and the drilling of the well itself, especially in remote areas. They are also partially recognized as a fixer, problem solver, and mediator.. Featured in CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). For someone so focused on her goals, including an emotionally unstable one-woman circus completely undermines the show’s purpose. Her character seems to disrupt the central narrative, adding unnecessary chaos rather than supporting his journey. The image does not enhance the storyline, but instead makes it difficult to take seriously his determination and focus. Similarly, the roles of his wife and daughter seem out of place in the series. The wife seems emotionally unstable, while the daughter seems to lack intellectual depth, which makes her contribution to the plot insignificant. The portrayal of the daughter seems particularly shallow, her character offering little beyond a surface level of involvement that adds no value to the story. Moreover, the constant presence of these characters, constantly dressed in provocative clothes, apparently for no other purpose than to attract attention, seems inconsistent with the tone of the series. Instead of improving the plot or character dynamics, this approach feels like a shallow attention-grabbing tactic. It’s a strange and unnecessary addition that detracts from the overall quality of the narrative.
