Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, leading them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; and more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s little brothers is the same one as Chewbacca’s family watch in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).

When I watched the first episode I was really glad it was about 40 minutes long

I think the series is great so far, but there’s one issue that really bugs me: the length. Then came the second episode – if we include the flashback and credits, it’s not even 25 minutes long. If I get 25 minutes out of a series every week, I have to watch what happened the other week.

As for the cast: God, they’re kids

As soon as you can’t get lost in the universe anymore, you’ve gotten used to it, it’s over. Incredibly unsatisfying! I probably won’t be watching it for months and will try to avoid all spoilers so I can watch it in full next year.

It’s clear they didn’t have years of acting training

However, the main characters are likable, the music is adequate, and the action isn’t too kid-friendly. After two episodes, I’m excited to see what happens next, but unfortunately I won’t know until next year.
